Kids Pants and Shorts PDF Sewing Pattern

Make your kids the perfect pair of Pants or Shorts! This pattern has been designed with a slightly dropped crotch, an easy-to-wear relaxed fit, practical pockets and the option to make shorts or pants. The pants can be hemmed simply or elasticated to give a harem style look. They are basic styles, also perfectly suited to being used as pyjama bottoms. Simple and quick to sew, this is a versatile pattern, perfect for when it’s the print of the fabric that is the main event.

For best results we recommend Nerida Hansen Fabrics cotton wovens to make the Pants or Shorts.

Quilting Cotton - 100% cotton, 112cm wide
Pants: size 2-3: 90cm; 4-5: 1m; 6-7: 1.1m
Shorts: size 2-3: 65cm; 4-5: 70cm; 6-7: 75cm

Mid-weight Cotton - 100% cotton, 137cm wide
Pants: size 2-3: 75cm; 4-5: 80cm; 6-7: 90cm
Shorts: size 2-3: 65cm; 4-5: 70cm; 6-7: 75cm

All patterns include a 1cm seam allowance, cut along your chosen fabric and you're good to go!

PLEASE NOTE: This pattern is password protected - Your password is sent via email, if you lose the password you can find it by searching for Sewpronto.

If you are printing A0 and giving it to Officeworks or similar print shops they will need to be given the password. We have been made aware that using Officeworks upload feature doesn't work with the password, so you will have to go into the shop and share it with them.

Your pattern will be sent as a ZIP file, you will need to unzip (extract) your zip file and save it on your computer. Each time you open your PDF you will need to use your password, so keep it safe. A handy tip is to rename your file with the password in it.
